TOY NEWS FOR 6/12/2013 - HASBRO - TRANSFORMERS MASTERPIECE SOUNDWAVE (WITH ALL FIVE CASSETTES) - TOYS R US EXCLUSIVE

First there was the initial release of Takara's MP Soundwave, now Takara is re-releasing him in Sept. And then this fall, we've got Hasbro's version coming out.

That's a lot of Soundwave!!

The cheapest version will be Hasbro's Toys R Us exclusive. It will not only have Soundwave and Laserbeak (who also comes with Takra's version) but also Rumble, Ravage, Frenzy and Buzzsaw-- which, if you bought from Takara, would cost you an extra $120 on top of the $160 for Soundwave.

Now there hasn't been any news on an exact release date (although it should be some time in the late summer) or an official price announced, but chances are this single set will cost you at least $100 less than buying all three Takara sets.

There's not real differences between the TRU version and the Takara one other than Soundwaves eyes which are yellow here as opposed to red on the Takara Soundwave.
