TOY NEWS FOR 6/19/2013 - NECA - 1/4 SCALE MAN OF STEEL SUPERMAN - PAINTED PROTOTYPE

This is certainly shaping up to be one magnificent looking figure. Granted, the head sculpt doesn't have the same kind of uncanny likeness of the Hot Toys figure, but it's still quite obvious that this is Henry Cavill.

I really wish NECA all the best with all these current licenses that they've been acquiring (Lone Ranger, Pacific Rim, Man of Steel). They certainly deserve any success they archive, and definitely more so than Hasbro or Mattel with their weak summer movie toys offerings.

If you loved the Man of Steel film as much as I did and want this massive figure for your collection, you can pick it up for around $100 in July at specialty and online toys shops.
